ICP-Rwanda’s current focus on Early Childhood Development (ECD) is backed up by the findings of top academic researchers, who share the view that ECD is a crucial component of national development. Nobel Prize-winning economist James Heckman has shown that every unit dollar invested in quality ECD programs can deliver a 7% – 13% return on investment. This is because quality ECD services increase social mobility and reduce the likelihood that adults will need state support in later life. In addition to these long-term benefits, ECD services also have the immediate effect of reducing the childcare burden on mothers, thus increasing female participation in the labour market. When you sponsor a child, you are making a valuable contribution to child development in Rwanda.
For 30 US Dollars a month, you can sponsor a child. The sponsorship covers the child’s health insurance and the nutrition of all of their family. Sponsors will receive copies of school reports and we encourage the children to write to their sponsors.

Through ICP-Rwanda I have been able to directly sponsor a student. 100% of my donations go directly to the student, there are no administrative fees. In my experience this is very unique and makes my giving particularly satisfying. ICP-Rwanda is great about keeping me informed about progress, challenges and successes and make the relationship very personal and rewarding.
